After watching A River Runs Through It and influenced by an article I read in Outside Magazine,  last year I purchased and read the book The River Why by David James Duncan - which tells the story of a young man who leaves home to pursue his passion for fly fishing. Sounds riveting, right? For never having any interest in fly fishing, or fishing in general, it was an ambitious read and I'm surprised I got through it (there were a lot of fishing terms, long sentences, and big words). But, I'm glad I did.

With this new found interest, as well as being wrapped up in the ideal imagery of fly fishing, I asked my buddy Mike, who enjoys the sport, if he would be willing to step in front of the lens.

He obliged.
