Memorial Day Give-Away!

Just for fun, I am offering a free sitting to a random blog visitor. To enter comment below. Deadline is Saturday at midnight. Your chances should be good, I know there are at least five of you that visit...on a good day, sooo you have about a 1 in 5 chance. Not bad, huh? No restrictions apply except that the sitting must be redeemed within one month of being awarded.
Thanks for visiting and have a great Memorial Day.

Modest is hottest

This shoot was a lot of fun and working with Jef and Kamra, who were already really good friends, made everything a lot less awkward. We were in and out of St. George in less than 24 hours and hated to leave the warmth to return to Utah County - which was still trying to shake winter.

Here are some of my favorite shots that did and didn't make the cut in Square Magazine's

latest issue

.

Color Me Mine

It's been a long time coming, but I finally got to help Color Me Mine, with a new ad campaign. My designer, her husband and I got to paint a few of the pieces that we needed for the shoot, which was fun. I enjoyed the looks I got as I painted the "mom" plate, which my mother is the proud owner of now. It ended up being a perfect Mother's Day gift.

Here are a few of my favorite shots that didn't make the cut.

We were surprised with how well our models fit each part, for finding them on such short notice, and were pleased with how well each matched their art piece. Do you know any of them?

Well, since you asked...

...I don't do weddings...well, not at this time. At least not for people I don't know. It's not that I'm too good for wedding business, its just that I don't feel that confident in shooting weddings (and I refuse to do the "couple under the bride's veil" shot) plus I believe that there are other photographers that know how to do it right. I have photographed weddings in the past for close family and friends and will continue to offer that. But, for those of you that have inquired about my wedding services; I would be more than happy to recommend Jonathan Canlas (www.jonathancanlasphotography.com), Nicole Hill (www.nicolephoto.com), Leo Patrone (www.leopatronephotography.com), and Duston Todd (www.dustontodd.com). These are four of my favorite local photographers that I believe do amazing work. You will not be disappointed by any of these talented photographers.
Thanks to all for inquiring. Glad you asked and best of luck.
